What better way to spend your morning than with friends and fresh air – International Walk to School Day lets you do just that!
This global event is celebrated throughout the world as thousands of schools from more than 40 countries join together to get outdoors, walk with friends and support active living. This year, the event takes place on Wednesday, October 4th and many schools from our community will be participating.
We had a chance to talk to a few students from Ruth Musser Middle School and hear about the ways their school is getting involved. They have three meet up locations and will receive a wristband, sunglasses and a chance to win various prizes for participating.
This event is a great way to meet new people, get exercise and come together as a community. Not only students participate, but parents and teachers take part in the event to make walk to school day a blast. We hope to see you there!
