Mental health matters took center stage at Riverside’s student film festival Directing Change. Students in High School and College viewed their uplifting films centered around the stigmas attached to mental health as well as resource options at the Fox Theater in Downtown Riverside. The night brought students together with the hopes of making change in their own community and beyond. The film festival inspires young filmmakers to use their talents to help those who may be struggling. Along with the excitement of viewing their films on the big screen, a few talented students walked away with awards honoring their talent and commitment to directing change today.
