The Health Equity Summit Program puts participants through various hypothetical family and economic scenarios designed to educate community members on the struggles that less fortunate community members face in their daily lives.
Local community members from all backgrounds and various ages participated in the Health Equity Summit. Participants were given random identities and minimal resources that quickly resulted un multiple hurdles. They encountered barriers preventing them access to common everyday resources like food, shelter, and healthcare.
The objective of the stimulations is to educate people in hopes that this will lead to the creation of more programs and opportunities to help families with limited resources as well as generate awareness.
